Happy 4th of July, the day where we ask the question: is the American Dream a lie?
250 years, and over these years what have we gained?
Success, or just people of power taking control and calling themselves blessed?
The nation has gained another year. Another year of possible success or despair.
The economy keep rising and falling. People are so divided it feels like it’s not even a conversation worth having.
Oh America, what do you say?
Is your system actively protecting its citizens or letting the citizens be a pawn in your big ole game?
The American Dream. Is it even real, or is the dream just fucking people over and calling it ideal?
250 years and the nation have had some serious patterns.
Take, Gain, and Claim, and destroy anyone who comes across your way.
Oh America, I respect you. You colonized and claimed. You had enough change in your lifetime so that society couldn’t hand you blame.
250 years of running a show.
Maybe one day we all will be equal and grow, but until then keep pushing out the American Dream while the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer.
